  • labVIEW/joystick

We have our robot all moving and working, but the joystick controls are backwards for left/right. We haven't used labVIEW before so we don't know how things really work, we were just wondering if some one could tell us how to switch left/right quickly just to get it working perfectly before we start studying the program hard core, that would be great.

    Re: labVIEW/joystick

There are three ways to solve this problem. The first and probably easiest is to simply switch the PMW cables between the two jaguars. You can also just switch your joysticks. The third way is in LabVIEW you can switch the wires from the "joystick get vi" (the orange ones). If I'm misreading you question, and you are really asking why when you press forward on the joystick the motor goes backward then that is something else. It is a simple fix, you just switch the inverted t/f thing on the drive open vi.

    Hope this helps...

In the joystick open vi, there is a DRIVE INVERT constant you can set to TRUE or FALSE. This is shown on the standard build code provided from LabView.
