Broadcast Domain for Competition Field Network

We use a comm protocol that requires the RoboRIO and the operator console to be in the same logical broadcast domain, much like the RioLog does. In previous years that has worked fine on the field. But I'm nervous this year because of the issue with the AP configuration prior to release 16.4, wherein the RoboRIO and operator console were sometimes given DHCP assignments in separate subnets with different broadcast addresses.

Will the field network be configured so that the RoboRIO and operator console for a given team are in the same broadcast domain, with matching IPv4 broadcast addresses?

Greetings, welcome to the FIRST forums. The address handed out to the roboRIO and DS computer will come from the same address pool on the DHCP server so they will be in the same broadcast domain with the same broadcast address. I will note that broadcast behavior (beyond mDNS) is not something that we particularly test on the field configurations.
