Re: Rookie laptop will not boot flash drive
Hi again! Sorry for the delay. I believe I have found the likely cause of the issue. There is an additional setting in the BIOS on the Boot tab that likely needs to be set.
I have added some instructions to a step at the bottom of the document here: https://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s...okie-usb-stick

Re: Rookie laptop will not boot flash drive
The rookie team that we are assisting has windows 10 already loaded on their computer (Acer E11). We have tried the recommended solution, including the video without success. We get to the boot menu just like in the video, however, being able to boot from the USB is not an option just like on the video.

If you don't see the boot menu when pressing F12 during startup, you can enable it using the process here: http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers...-or-netbook%3F
I will be adding this to our ScreenSteps documentation.

Re: Rookie laptop will not boot flash drive
The Image contains Windows 7. We did not test with the factory installed driver as we were under the impression that the computers were going to be shipped without an OS.

Re: Rookie laptop will not boot flash drive
FYI: no boot menu showed.
What Windows version will be installed using the flash drive?
Will there be potential issues with the wifi or does the installed wifi work OK?

Re: Rookie laptop will not boot flash drive
If they're up and running they are fine. If the menu didn't show up at all, then it was disabled, I'll be adding the instructions to enable it to the ScreenSteps. If the boot menu showed, but the USB drive didn't show on it the USB key was somehow corrupted.

Rookie laptop will not boot flash drive
Worked with 3 rookie teams and none would access the imaging flash drive when hitting F12 at power up per instructions. Since Win 8 was already installed, went ahead with both LabView installs. Was able to update firmware and image roboRIO and compile and download test program via USB. Will the teams need to do something else or are they good to go as is?
