    No need, I can take care of that

    Reuben,
    I would check out the game manual (especially the robot and tournament sections) for rules about wireless devices. Having said that, many teams use wired Xbox 360 controllers with their robots. Simply use the USB tab of the Driver Station to see what Axis and button numbers map to which physical buttons and you should be good to go!

    We've put together a whole bunch of documentation on the new 2015 Control System and programming here: http://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/4485

    If you have specific questions that you can't find an answer to in that documentation, feel free to ask!

    Welcome to the FIRST Forums and good luck this season!

    This is the First LEGO League forum.

    @dluders,
    The FRC challenge was released today. In FRC, you can use fun things such as XBox controllers.

    You DO know, of course, that you cannot "drive" your FIRST Lego League robot in an FLL setting via a controller -- it must be programmed to operate in an "autonomous" mode.

    Wireless xbox 360 controller

    Hey Guys,

    I'm a fairly new programmer on my team, and I was thinking of implementing an idea of using a 360 controller instead of joysticks for our robot. I've seen it in use before, but my questions are, how would my code differ from using joysticks, and where would I buy a good wireless receiver (I've heard there are a lot of knockoffs). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if you could contact me just to give me some advice about the eclipse luna environment and/or basic java code fundamental for basic robot movements (solenoid outputs, motor control, PWM outputs, etc.) I'd really appreciate it.

    Thank you from myself and team 2998,
