Driver Station LEDs

Hey Robot - peeps. We at Little Falls robotics are building a new driver station out of plexiglass. We were going to line the inside of the board that the classmate and joysticks sit on with LEDs. These LEDs will be controlled by an IR remote and will have the ability to flash different colors or stay solid or ........ Yeah - so before we do this I was wondering about the legality of using LEDs on the driver station. Do they have to be off during the match? Are they allowed at all? ETC.
