After which step in the procedure do you see this error?

Matt: We successfully imaged the computer. We are now at the point where we activate Windows. We have a product key. But we get an error message that says 0x80070078 which is defined as "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

Did you try the Windows 7 activation procedure described in the first post of this thread, and then receive that error? If not, please try the procedure and see if that resolves your issue.

              Re: Windows 7 Activation Procedure

Team 4580 here from Indianapolis, IN.

I purchased a classmate E12 from FIRST CHOICE by Andy Mark. I downloaded the E12_DEV_2014_171213.7z onto a flashdrive > unzipped it > booted from thumb drive > installed windows > installed drivers. All of this worked correctly....however. Windows 7 professional will not activate. I am recieving the following error code and message (Windows could not be activated.
Key management services (KMS) host could not be located in domain name system (DNS), please have your system adminstrator verify that a KMS is published correctly in DNS.
              Error: 0x8007232b
              Description:
              DNS name does not exist.)

I was told by FIRST to come here, I was told by Microsoft that I need to have a product key to activate. I was never given a product key. I followed the steps on this walk-through to a "T" http://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/...d#!prettyPhoto

When i try to activate windows using the way described in the first post. I get a different error message than everyone else is getting. I get the error code 0x8007232B DNS name does not exist. I'm not sure what to do now. Any help is greatly appreciated!
