  • Restore a Corrupted cRIO

    Hello.
We have an 8-slot cRIO that looks like it was corrupted during reimaging and now the imaging tool won't recognize it. What is the procedure to restore it so that we can image it?
    Thanks.

I don't know that there is a single procedure that recovers from all reimaging failures. The first step I would try is to turn on the Safe Mode dip switch on the cRIO and try to re-image. There are other tips here: http://wpilib.screenstepslive.com/s/...ging-your-crio

If it ends up being a really bad corruption, you may get better support from NI. http://www.ni.com/frc

      Hi,

Rebooting the cRIO into Safe Mode (accomplished on the 8 slot by using the Safe Mode DIP switch and then power cycling the cRIO) may allow the cRIO to be detected. Attempting to image the cRIO in this state will prompt you to take the cRIO out of Safe Mode, at that point change the DIP switch back and reset the cRIO, then try imaging again.
