  • Jaguar motor capacity

This is team 4127. We are new this year and had a question for anyone who knows the answer. How many motors are we allowed to hook up to one Jaguar?

    Re: Jaguar motor capacity

From a technical perspective, the Jaguar motor controller is rated for 40A continuous current draw. The datasheet for the Black Jaguar (MDL-BDC24) can be found here

From a rules perspective, please see the 2012 FRC Game Manual.

      Re: Jaguar motor capacity

      Loggers,

      [R50]
All electrical loads (motors, actuators, compressors, electric solenoids) must be supplied by an approved power
regulating device (speed controller, relay module, or Digital Sidecar PWM port) that is controlled by the cRIO on the
      Robot.
      a. Each CIM motor and Fisher-Price motor must be connected to one and only one approved speed
      controller.
These motors must not be connected to relay modules.
