    Re: Robot Signal Light wiring

Also remember to place a jumper from La to Lb on the RSL, as shown in the FIRST rules. http://frc-manual.usfirst.org/viewItem/57#4.1.9

As JHawk said each of the pins coming out of the cRIO is mapped to different functions such as the PWM, DIO, relays, RSL, etc. If the cable between the cRIO module and the Digital Sidecar si twisted, these mappings don't line up properly.

The twisted cable will prevent the relays and RSL from working so hopefully that is the only thing wrong and addressing it will cause both to work.

        Re: Robot Signal Light wiring

Just a quick note for those having problems getting their Robot Service Light (RSL) working. We had problems getting our light to come on last year and this year. Everything worked on the robot, but the RSL would not light up. We finally figured out that the ribbon cable that connected our CRio to the sidecar was defective. We replaced the ribbon cable with a DB37 round cable and everything works fine now.
