  • We'd like to try and import a model

Would appreciate any help you can offer, although we'll try right away without any and update on our progress

In addition, if you can get us permission and code to hack on, we'd love to scratch some of our itches in the code and contribute patches. Would that be possible?

    Thanks

    Thanks
To point you in the right direction:
    1) Take a look at the xml files in the Bots\Lunacy directory. They can be edited, or you can add a new file to that directory... the main thing there is you need to have the same exact file setup (including same names) on all machines connected to a specific LAN match or you may run into problems.
    2) Convert your model to .x or .fbx format, and use Microsoft XNA to convert it into the .xnb format found in the Content\Models directory.
    3) Rename the model into the bot formats found in that directory, making sure to have both a _red and a _blue file.
    4) Textures will need to be converted and put into the proper relative path.

Maybe it'll work... Let us know how it goes.

See what I posted in the "Why isn't it open source thread"

And, I was serious when I wrote in that thread to keep pestering us on this topic (maybe monthly would be about right)
