You might consider asking friends of your kids who you all already know that you can work well with. Otherwise, you can let FIRST in Texas know you are looking for team members. Lastly, you can try posting on some FLL related Facebook groups/pages such as FLL Challenge: Share and Learn.

It would be a good idea to interview the prospective team members AND their parents to ensure that you can work with them all. Some years ago, we rejected a prospective team member sent to us by the Local Partner because the parents opinion of their son's abilities was greatly at odds with our assessment but mostly because the parents were really pushy. We ended up going with two members from our son's swim team where we had all competed together and traveled to Frisco for the state championship for several years. This was important because the parents of the new team members could feel comfortable just dropping their kids off and allowed them to travel with us to the World Festival.
